NOC data is provided as a default option to determine a stereotype dominance. The legislation does not provide specific details on how stereotype dominance must be determined, but it must be included in the Dominance analysis. From HCI's experience NOC data is accepted by the Pay Equity Review Office in determining a Job Class Stereotype. You are free to use other stereotype sources and override the NOC stereotype data.
If you are using other sources, do not enter a NOC 4 digit code in the "Stereotype NOC" column, and instead choose a dominance from the dropdown selection in the "Other Stereotype Dominance" column. You can also provide the source in the "Other Stereotype Source" column for future reference by your organization or the Pay Equity Review Office.
