If two employees do the exact same job but receive different compensation in any way, that is not related to different levels within the pay based scale (achieved through merit or seniority), then these jobs are considered different Job Classes as per the Pay Equity Legislation, where compensation practises need to be identical or show a known path (to the employee) for employee A to achieve the same compensation as employee B.
