If your Pay Equity Plan exists before using the Compensation Tool, then your incumbent year would already be determined. If you are creating a new Pay Equity project then generally that last year you have full data for would be your incumbent year (note, it should reflect your current state of business). All future years are considered maintenance and all years before the incumbent year are historical.
