In order to edit the PV calculations within the detailed PV page click the  EDIT  button beside "Selected Male Comparators "

The HCI Compensation Tool provides 3 methods to determine PV as defined below:

1. All Males:  All males are included in the PV calculations.

2. Acceptable PV Rate: Determines the first Male Pay Line at that has an acceptable rsquared value by starting with all male and removing individual Job Classes that have the largest deviation from the Male Pay Line, until and acceptable value is identified.  Note this may be the same line as the All Males if All Males create an acceptable rsquared value.

3. Custom Selection: The custom selection provides the option for the user to pick a selected group of Male Jobs to use in the determination of a Male Pay Line to identify a PV.

Select the radio button beside the chosen method of PV calculation to apply to the female Job Class.

If you select the Custom Selection, follow the directions below to customize:

The "Custom Selection" shows a list of all male Job Classes with empty check boxes (or previously selected check boxes) beside each male Job Class title.  Select all the Job Classes you wish to include in the PV calculation and click  SAVE CHANGES  .

Once you select  Save Changes  the details on the page will automatically update (graph, PV rate and any adjustments) with the new Male Pay Line and the page will also display the associated rsquared value and Male Pay Line formula.

If you want to update all female Job Classes in a given year that use PV with the same custom selection, select the check box beside "Update All PV calculations in Year" before selecting the  Save Changes  button.

Select the REVERT button to cancel any of the most recent changes made to the PV calculations (changes made since the  EDIT  button was selected and before the  Save Changes  button was confirmed.

Warning: Any customizations completed for a specific or all female Job Classes in a given year will not be applied to any other year in the project.  All customizations of PV calculations required must be performed for each year in the project independently.
