To create a banding scenario you only require Job Evaluation point totals for all Job Classes. Banding scenarios are used in compensation for a number of purposes outside of Pay Equity requirements and do not always require formal evaluations (as require in Pay Equity legislation).


To create a Pay Equity Plan you require employee, job and gender data in addition to a chosen banding scenario which requires evaluations of Jobs. The banding scenario associated to a Pay Equity Plan defines the parameter in which male to female job class comparisons are made but the employee, job and gender data determine the outcome of the comparisons.
